Veronica Ellen “Vera” Boyd was born on 24th February, 1929 and passed away on 24th June, 2021.
Aged 92 years. Late of Palm Lake Care, Bargara and formerly of Sinclair Street, Bundaberg. Passed away peacefully on June 24th, 2021. Beloved wife of James (dec’d). Dearly loved mother & mother-in-law of Bill & Sandy, Bob & Jenny, Jim, Shirl & Eric, John & Karen, Steve & Wendy, Di and Trish & Richard. Loving grandmother of 23 and great-grandmother of 21. Much loved sister, sister-in-law and aunt of respective families.

A Funeral Service for Vera will be held at the Chapel, ‘Branyan Gardens’, Cummins Road, Branyan on Thursday, July 1st, 2021 at 10:00am.

I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there today, really wanted to say goodbye in person to Aunty Vera but this pandemic had to impact me at the worst possible time. I watched the live stream and it was wonderful to hear all the amazing stories from Aunty Vera’s life. When we first emigrated you all made us feel so welcome and I think this was was due to Aunty Vera, not just at the time but in the way that she raised you all.

Aunty Vera was a lovely lady and she reminded me so much of our mam (Mary) and our aunty Doll they were great friends, look after each other as your Mum would have wanted.
