Raymond John “Ray” Finlay was born on 10th September, 1937 and passed away on 18th March, 2023.
Aged 85 years. Late of North Bundaberg and formerly of South Grafton and Central West New South Wales. Passed away at his residence with family by his side on March 18th, 2023. Beloved husband of Rita. Dearly loved father and stepfather of Marion, Michael, Glenda, Laurence, Wayne, Robyn, Murray and Fiona. Loving grandfather to many. Dearly loved son of Lawrence & Grace Finlay (both dec’d), and son-in-law of Doris Murray. Loved brother of Bruce, Norman, John (dec’d), Robert, David, Rex and Joy, and much loved uncle of their respective families.

Relatives and friends of Ray and his family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service to be held in the Chapel, “Branyan Gardens”, Cummins Road, Branyan on Monday, March 27th, 2023 at 11:30am.

Aunty Rita, I’m sorry I couldn’t make it to the funeral to give you a big cuddle and tell you how much I love you. Uncle Ray was such a beautiful, kind hearted, cheeky man and if I’m honest…he was my favourite 🙂 Whenever I think of Uncle Ray I instantly think of you because you were always together, such a perfect match. Your love for each other was etched all of your faces and in your every day lives. I wish I could somehow ease your pain, but I know I can’t…please know that my heart is with you and love you heaps.
