Paul Reffold was born on 1st June, 1938 and passed away on 6th March, 2022.
Aged 83 years. Late of Shelley Street, Burnett Heads and formerly of “Makowata” Miriam Vale and Belli, QLD. Passed away on March 6th, 2022. Beloved husband of Muriel. Dearly loved father & father-in-law of Annette & Johannes Zietsman, Ivan and Pamela & Martin Newlin. Loving grandfather of Jacinta and Tiffany. Loved brother & brother-in-law of Jack Reffold also Brian Reffold (dec’d).

A Funeral Service for Paul will be held at The Chapel, ‘Branyan Gardens’, Cummins Road, Branyan on Wednesday, March 16th, 2022 at 10:30am.
It is a State Government requirement that you present evidence of COVID Vaccination if you are attending after-service fellowship on the Garden Terrace.

Uncle Paul forever loved forever missed. A great man who would do anything for his family, I’ll treasure the memories. Mum will always love and miss her beloved big cousin
When I think of Paul I imagine a tanned bloke dressed in work shorts and boots and maybe a shirt. He would be striding around his property, always busy and always with some project in mind. He was a great story teller, relating his past adventures on the opal fields and on outback stations. I must confess I had some trouble in believing some of his exploits though.
Paul always had ideas about this and that, some of which were fanciful, some of which were eminently sensible. He was the sort of Aussie bloke who could create something out of bits and pieces that were laying around. He was in a sense an early recycler.
He would do anything for his family. Paul was a dear friend and brother-in-law of Peter and we will both miss him. Rest easy Paul.
We miss the friendly telephone calls to ourselves in Canada from our cousin Paul in Australia. They were a source of enjoyment, especially during the winter months when we could tell how much snow there was or how cold it was – lots of good memories. Rest in peace Paul.
