It is with sadness that Lynda and I hear of the passing of Sally Mobbs; such a vibrant, determined and compassionate person. Our time on our children’s primary school P&C was enjoyably enhanced by Sally’s clear-thinking and friendly camaraderie. RIP.

This poem was shared with me by Sue Parfitt upon hearing that Sally had left this world. Thank you Sue. The Parfitts, Mobbsters and Strubes enjoyed wonderful family times together. Our heartfelt condolences to you Jim and family.
… What we were, we are.
What we had, we have.
A conjoined past imperishably present.
So when you walk the wood where once we walked together
And scan in vain the dappled bank beside you for my shadow,
Or pause where we always did upon the hill to gaze across the land,
And spotting something, reach by habit for my hand,
And finding none, feel sorrow start to steal upon you,
Be still.
Close your eyes.
Breathe.
Listen for my footfall in your heart.
I am not gone but merely walk within you.

The Dash Poem
I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end.
He noted that first came the date of her birth
And spoke of the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own,
The cars, the house, the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.
Jim,
I am so sorry to hear of Sally’s passing. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Sally lived her dash to the full as you and her loved ones well know.
Jim and Family
We were so sorry to hear of Sally’s passing.
Sally and I started work together 47 years ago at Royal Brisbane Hospital as Radiography cadets . We shared lots of great times and Sally was well respected by her colleagues. Sally continued her profession as a Sonographer with passion and commitment.
Rest in peace , Sally.
Deepest condolences to the family. I have lovely memories of sitting in the shade of trees watching our boys play cricket, discussing all manner of topics. Such a lovely person inside and out. It was a pleasure to have shared some of her life with us.
