Reginald Vernon Brotherton  was born on 19th April, 1933 and passed away on 23rd April, 2024.

Aged 91 years. Late of Meilene Street, Kalkie and formerly of Brisbane and Hervey Bay. Passed away peacefully on April 23rd, 2024. Beloved husband of Nellie (dec’d). Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Dianne, Lynette, Sheryl & Robert (dec’d), Narelle (dec’d), Sam & Lorrelle, and Kim & Ken. Loving grandad of 21, great grandad of 31 and a great-great grandad of 2. Dearly loved son of Bill & Winnie Brotherton (both dec’d). Loved brother and brother-in-law of Doreen, Evelyn, Irene, Desmond (all dec’d), Dorothy and Ronald. A dearly loved uncle of their respective families.

Relatives and friends of Reg and his family are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Service to be held in The Chapel, “Branyan Gardens” Cummins Road, Branyan on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024, at 1:00pm.

  1. Dad was a wonderful man. He enjoyed life and was always smiling and laughing. Dedicated to his family and loved by all.

  2. You were my favourite Uncle and I will never forget you. Rest in peace and be with Aunty Nell, together forever.

  3. Dad was an uncomplicated man (do the right thing because it is the right thing to do.) Family was everthing and loyalty to friends as the epitaphs coming in from his ex colleagues attest. Sorely missed.

  4. I never got to know him, but he was certainly a great person from Mum’s perspective. Have fun with Grandad, Mickey.
