Margaret Fay Gayton was born on 9th July, 1927 and passed away on 14th January, 2024.
Aged 96 years. Late of The Waterford, Hervey Bay and formerly of Trevors Road, Bargara. Passed away on January 14th, 2024. Dearly loved daughter of Albert & Margaret Gayton (both dec’d). Dearly loved sister of Kenneth George Gayton (dec’d). Dearly loved aunt of Mark Leonard Gayton, Susan Joy Gayton, Allison Leigh McFarlane, Ruth Caroline Bowser and Vivienne Faye Gayton.

A Private Cremation will be held as per Fay’s wishes.

Miss Gayton was Librarian at Bundaberg South State School when I was a student there in the 70’s. A lovely kind lady who shared the love of books and learning to so many students over the years.

So sorry to hear of Fay’s passing. I have very fond memories of our time as teachers at Kolan South State School and our travelling each day on the Mill Workers’ bus from Bundaberg. A long life well lived. Rest in peace Fay.
