Dear Lyn & Family,
Although I haven’t had a lot of contact in recent years, my sister Del has kept me up to date of the happenings of our extended family. I wish to pass on my condolences to Gavin’s whole extended family. As the youngest cousin on the Childs side, I have fond memories of going to Glenlands as a kid and Gavin and all his brothers showing the”city cousins” the ins and outs of farm life. Gavin was always a larrikin and I will remember his dry wit with fondness. Although I couldn’t attend the funeral in person, thank you for making it available online. I truly felt connected to the country roots of the Childs family. Sending hugs from Melbourne.
Love Raylene Carnie (nee Childs) xx
Much love to you Lynn, Scott and Luke. Although we couldn’t be there in person, in was a privilege to witness this lovely service for an amazing man. His determination and strong will was admirable. May he now rest peacefully.
