Colin Eric “Col” Coomber  was born on 8th September, 1931 and passed away on 2nd February, 2023.

Aged 91 years. Late of Meilene Aged Care and formerly of Cordalba and Bundaberg. Passed away at Meilene Aged Care on February 2nd, 2023. Beloved husband of Daphne (dec’d). Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Jo & John, Mark, Michael & Isya and Karyn. Loving “Pa” of Tony, Lisa, Steven, Emma, Amy, Jordan, Darcie, Bradley, Ellie, Megan, Sandi, Tian and Joshua. Great-“Pa” of Hayden, Renee, Michael, Christian, Connor, Liam, Noah, Hunter, Ariellah, Hudson, Marlee, Amira, and Great-great-“Pa” of Khalani and Luka.  Dearly loved son of Eric & Stella (both dec’d). Loved brother of Marion (dec’d), Kevin and loved uncle of their respective families.

Relatives and friends of Col and his family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service to be held in the Chapel, “Branyan Gardens”, Cummins Road, Branyan on Monday, February 13th, 2023 at 2:00pm.

The family would like to encourage attendees to wear football jerseys or shirts and team colours to celebrate the life of Col.

  2. Please accept my sympathy extended to all of the Coomber family. Col must have been so proud to have had such a large family with all those grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I pay my respects to Coll who I knew through Rugby League refereeing. Col gave me some great opportunities when I was just a young referee. He had good commitment to community service as I can remember Col involved in Junior Rugby League as an administrator. Rest in Peace, Col.
