  1. I am the niece of Barry Slater and won’t be at the funeral service on Thursday due to distance and would like to livestream the service. Thank you.

  2. Condolences to the family. Barry and Ann were both wonderful members of our community at Avenell Village. Brett and Kym Allan

  3. I had the pleasure of meeting Barry at BlueCare Riverlea where my mother Margaret was a resident. Barry made Mum smile every time she saw him. Mum and I would sit outside the chapel for morning tea, and like clockwork, Barry would walk by and join us. We’d share stories and make each other laugh. My special memory was having a wonderful conversation with Barry one sunny afternoon in March this year. We chatted about all sorts of things and watched an eagle soaring high over Riverlea. Soar high too now Barry. A beautiful tribute to a gentleman. With deepest sympathies to Tracey and Shane who, like their father, brightened our days at Riverlea.

    1. Thank you Jon for your kind words. I will always remember those moments Dad had with Margaret during his walks and the smiles they both had. It was always beautiful to see

  4. Sincere condolences to Tracey, Shane and family on the very sad loss of Barry. Only knowing Barry for a few years, he shone through as a happy, loving, true gentleman. Rest in peace Barry. May you all heal knowing Barry will fondly be remembered as a wonderful person.

  5. Barry certainly was a true gentleman and a gentle sole. He was never without a smile and it was often accompanied by a cheeky glint in his eyes. He will be missed by all who knew him.
