Athol “John” O’Farrell

Athol “John” O’Farrell  was born on 27th July, 1936 and passed away on 22nd March, 2023.

Aged 86 years. Late of Rubyanna Road, Bundaberg and formerly of ‘Glen Scoria’ Thangool and ‘Coondoo Springs’, Kin Kin. Passed away at the Bundaberg Base Hospital on March 22nd, 2023. Beloved husband of Pam. Dearly loved father & father-in-law of Kim & Tony Bailey (Bundaberg), and Tony & Tina O’Farrell (Airlie Beach). Loving grandfather of Kelly & Rian Dwyer, Caitlyn & Fraser Bloxham, Alex Bailey & Jessica Crane. Great-grandfather of Emerson, Finley, Sterling, and Fletcher.
Brother of William and Elizabeth, also James (dec’d).

“Forever In Our Hearts”

Relatives and friends of John and his family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service to be held in the Chapel, “Branyan Gardens”, Cummins Road, Branyan on Thursday, March 30th, 2023 at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers the family invite you to place a donation in the envelopes provided at the Funeral Service, to the Bundaberg Prostate Cancer Support Group.

  1. Dad always thought ofarrels his second family mums seeing doctor that day so I can’t be there sorry to hear of his passing he was a good bloke

  7. To Pam and family i am sorry to hear of Johns recent passing. Dad absolutely loved and cherished the years he spent living with the O’Farrell family on their farm while teaching at Mt Scoria. So many times his experiences were shared with us, especially Mrs O’Farrells cooking expertise. He really felt they were all his second family.
