Late of Maynard Street, Norville, Merle passed away peacefully on May 7th, 2026, aged 91 years. Beloved wife of John (dec’d). Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Christina & Mani (both dec’d), Merran, Alayne & Mark and Lauri & Brett. Loving grandmother of Alexandra, Danielle, Jacquie, Saxon, Sienna, Tiana and great-grandmother of Octavia, Xaden, Cassian, Violet and Dawson. Dearly loved daughter of Fred ‘Jock’ & Ivy Martens (both dec’d).

Sending lots of love and hugs to the whole family. Have many treasured memories of the time spent with Christina there at Maynard St and when the pool was first installed. Was always made to feel welcome.
Mrs Eb the stalwart of netball for many many years. Many fond memories and I know Mum does too for all those years of Masters Netball with Merle. May you rest in peace
