Keith Henry Oliver was born on 3rd December, 1938 and passed away on 26th November, 2024.
Late of Palm Lake Care and Cortes Drive, Bundaberg. Keith passed away on November 26th, 2024, aged 85 years. Beloved husband of Norma. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Terri & Rob and Nelson & Carolyn. Adored ‘Rocky’ of Jack and Riley. Dearly loved son of Alf & Elsie Oliver (both dec’d). Loved brother and brother-in-law of Fay & Rod Lovett, Albert & Jenny Oliver (both dec’d), Ray (dec’d) & Denise Oliver, Ros & Viv (dec’d) Bramley and uncle of their respective families.

Relatives and friends of Keith and his family are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Service to be held in the Chapel, ‘Branyan Gardens’, Cummins Road, Branyan on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024 commencing at 10:00am.

Sending heartfelt condolences to Norma and family. I have wonderful memories of being a student while Mr Oliver was teaching at Norville and later on as a parent with children there. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by our school community, your favourite schools sports team Birubi’s has lost its biggest champion. RIP Ollie !

I feel so honoured and proud to have known Keith long enough and well enough to call him a friend. Our long association through the Bundy/Rocky Primary School Rugby League Exchange cemented a unique bond between Teachers who were truly brothers from different mothers. Our mutual respect, admiration and purpose was very largely a response to the leadership, direction and enthusiasm of our inspirational mate Keith (Poppa Bear). Thanks for those treasured years, Old Mate.
I was so sorry to hear of Keith’s passing. He was our footy coach at South State School in Bundy and I was good mates with Keith’s younger Brother Ray and I also lived in Elizabeth Street across the gully from the Oliver clan.
Keith was a really good teacher, coach and a good Rugby League winger for Railways and fast for a big man.
Keith will certainly be missed. Condolences to his wife and all his family.
I have amazing memories of teaching at same school as Ollie during the 1990 s.

Mr Oliver was one of the teachers I will always remember. He made us all feel seen, heard, valued and capable in his fun, creative and inspiring classroom. I know there will be countless others who will agree that he shaped our minds and hearts and we carry his teachings with us through our lives. I also had the great privilege of returning to his classroom as a prac teacher to learn from the best of the best.
Mr Oliver, you leave the world a much, much better place and you are irreplaceable. Job superbly done Mr Ollie, your legacy lives on through all those you have taught. Rest in peace.

I was blessed to encounter OLLIE in my first year posting at Norville SS. As a full time teacher Keith’s passion for nurturing young minds and shaping the future was a driving force in his life. Every day he embraced the responsibility of being an educator, imparting knowledge, instilling values and fostering a love for learning amongst his students. Witnessing the growth and development of his students brought him immense joy and fulfilment and he took great pride in being a positive influence in their lives.
This was also evident in the sporting arena where as a coach Keith received great praise and accolades for his dedication and success in imparting skills to those under his care.
The list goes on and there are many who have benefited from the great teaching and coaching of this great man. My condolences to you Norma, Terri and Nelson and your families for the loss you must feel. We’ll surely miss you KO or OLLIE. Keep an eye out for us. We’ll be along shortly RIP

I remember Keith with great fondness. He was my year 6 teacher at South State School and a good teacher he was!
