Jean Bates was born on 9th January, 1929 and passed away on 13th August, 2024.
Late of Maynard Street, Bundaberg. Jean passed away at the Bundaberg Base Hospital on August 13th, 2024 aged 95 years. Beloved wife of Kevin (dec’d). Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of John & Lyn, Peter & Sharon, Paul, and Rose-Mary (dec’d). Loving grandma of Anthony, Tennille, Michael, Nicole, Jack, Emily, Marissa, Joshua, Katelyn, and great-grandma of Matilda, Hazel, Riley, Lucas, Isabella, Hunter, and great-great-grandma of Sophia. Dearly loved daughter of Frederick & Rose Capell (both dec’d). Loved sister and sister-in-law of Marjorie & John (both dec’d), John (dec’d) & Jan, and aunt of their respective families.

Relatives and friends of Jean and her family are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral Service to be held at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Barolin Street, Bundaberg on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 commencing at 11:00am, prior to interment at the Bundaberg Catholic Cemetery (Fitzgerald Street).
So sorry for your loss of your mum. She was lovely to look after in her house in Maynard st.
I will always remember Jean and our lovely chats when transporting her around bundaberg and with her group days and giving little molly her dog lots of cuddles… Will remember the date too as it was my birthday 🙁

I used to clean Jean’s house every friday and I get to pat her dog as soon as I finished all the chores. Jean is such a lovely lady to look after. Rest in peace Jean.
