Dear Wendee, Jann and families. We are saddened to hear of Aunty Ellen’s passing. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy on your loss. Our thoughts are with you. Grant and Maureen.
In loving memory of my wonderful Godmother, Ellen.
As a close friend of both my parents from teenage Church Youth Group days, Ellen was the obvious choice to be my Godmother, and quite an influence she has been in my life.
My parents named me Katharine but Ellen, with a twinkle in her eye, called me Katie.
She sowed the seeds that got me to boarding school, which I loved and was the making of me.
As an avid Floral Artist, Ellen came to Mackay for my wedding and made me a beautiful bouquet of white Cooktown orchids to hold.
A couple of years later I moved to WA, but we always wrote to keep up with each other’s family news.
In more recent years I’ve been able visit Ellen in Bundaberg several times – Visits I’ll always treasure
I was grateful to be able to spend time with Wendee and Lorry when my parents lived in Nerang .
And then, Jann and Ross, have always been so welcoming when I’ve made it to Bundy, sharing your delightful Family and Precious Mother with me
I feel forever blessed to have had Ellen as my Godmother.
My Love and Prayers are with you All, Always, Kate
