Bill was my brother and although we only discovered each other in recent years, to me he embodied kindness and compassion, beginning with a fierce love for and great pride in his family.
The heartfelt tributes here are a testament to the profound impact he had on those around him. Bill’s legacy lives on through the memories and stories of those whose lives he touched and inspired. His selfless spirit and warm heart towards his treasured friends and the wider community in Bundaberg, whom he served for many years as a proud member of the Queensland Fire Service, is a badge of honour.
Beloved brother, I am so grateful for the two days we had together so recently. I will regret forever that we did not get more time together face-to-face. Your wonderful character and generosity of heart will be deeply missed, but always cherished.
