Betty McLean OAM was born on 7th November, 1923 and passed away on 10th February, 2022.
nee Baird. Aged 98 years. Late of Palm Lake Care, Bargara and formerly of Bargara and Bundaberg. Passed away on February 10th, 2022. Beloved wife of Alastair (dec’d). Dearly loved mother of Ian, Jock (dec’d), Pamela and Alicin. Loved mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother of their families. Loved aunt and loved friend of many.

Relatives and friends of Betty and her family are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral Service to be held at The Chapel, ‘Branyan Gardens’, Cummins Road, Branyan on Friday, February 25th, 2022 at 11:00am, concluding with fellowship on the Garden Terrace.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice.
It is a State Government requirement that you present evidence of COVID Vaccination if you are attending after-service fellowship on the Garden Terrace.

An unforgettable lady with whom I had a wonderful relationship at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and following at the Uniting Churches at Bundaberg and Bargara and also through the Orpheus Singers. As God blessed her with many gifts including her time as Librarian at TAFE and Orpheus Singers Patron and not to forget Mother, Friend, etc. so bless the whole family in their loss. Please accept our condolences. We worked with Mrs Mac at Adult Education and TAFE. She was much a gracious gentlewoman who was so proud of her family. She was also lots of fun.

Betty was such a lovely lady. I loved helping her with the Art Festival when it was run at TAFE…so much energy. She loved her family and told me so many stories. She helped make TAFE at that time a great place to work.
Sincere condolences to Betty’s family. Betty was such a gracious lady, always with a ready smile. Missed her when the Uniting Church moved from St Andrew’s. Leigh Petersen
