Rest in peace mate you were a great mate and friend you were one in a million
Rest peacefully, Barry. You were such a cherished partner to my grandmother, Jan Kirchner, and a truly special part of our family over the past nine years. We are so grateful for the love, companionship, and happiness you brought into her life and into all of ours. You will be deeply missed.
So sad to hear of Barry’s passing, such a brave battle you fought. I always found Barry to be such a cheerful and positive gentleman and a true friend to Jan over the years. I’m so glad you two found each and were able to support each other over the years. You will be missed greatly by your family, Jan’s family and all the people you touched with your infectious personality. Rest in peace.

Farewell Barry. It was a real pleasure to have known you. Thank you for your service to our country. A true gentleman, always kind and courteous and a devoted friend to Jan. You will be missed. Till we meet again, Helen Z.
RIP Barry.
I worked with you when we were both TAFE teachers in Brisbane. You were always a true gentleman who imparted your fine knowledge to your students in a good way. We had many great laughs in the staff room and in the training restaurant after the students had left when all of us rostered teaching staff would gather for an after work drink. As one of the younger teachers on staff you took me and a couple of others under your wing which was always appreciated.
I was shocked when I ran into you in Bundaberg many years later to find we were living in the same suburb, AGAIN! Unfortunately my lifestyle didn’t give me time to visit you at home, but I enjoyed bumping into you at various places around town and having a chat.
The world has lost a fine gentleman.
