Missing you already Uncle. Thought about you at Christmas, but was to busy to call at the time. Kicking myself hard now because I didn’t make the time. Always enjoyed our chats, even if it was only a few times a year. Thinking off you Uncle.
Adrian.
I will miss you Jack!
We met and trained together in 1960 at Line school (Bendigo). We lived, camped, fished, hunted and drank together.
And….we built the Snowy Scheme!
Goodbye Old Mate, forever remembered.

Rest In Peace Uncle
You’ll be missed by us all.
Jack and I were friends of the Cuthbert family from Beac near Colac and later worked together at the mines. He supplied us with our first beehive which ended up multiplying to 11 in Hughenden.
Great bloke.
My big brother John who always began our chats with G’day and ended them with See ya’.
Even though I was only 7 when you moved to Bendigo, I have so many memories of those early years. You were the first of us to leave our home in Ultima and I remember just how much we all looked forward to your visits home.
Years later after I had moved to Melbourne you warmly welcomed my future husband Eddie ….. even though I had to laughingly remind you that yes, I was actually old enough to marry as I was no longer a 7 old. We always enjoyed our catchups, both in Victoria and Qld, which sometimes included our daughter Jade and son Byron; they didn’t happen often but were always special.
You are much loved by each of us and I will miss our short telephone calls.
See ya’

Jack you were the best step father to me,taught me how to work. Rest in piece mate.
Missing your visits when you came to Bundy and call at night to let me know you got home ok
There was no one quite like Jack. He was a great friend to so many people in Gin Gin and Mt Perry. He loved being with people. He visited many people with his sweet potatoes. A good friend who will be missed.
Wherever you lived you always was checking to see how I was, even way back when you first started in Bendigo, you would write to me, I knew you were always watching out for me. And I thank you for that. Our phone calls over the years were always very short, because you were always doing something for someone. You were the one who was the calmest out of all of us kids, you were also an annoying teaser at times, like walking down the street with you & you turning around as if you could not see me, not my fault that you were taller than me. Our memorious are many & i will remember them all. My children & i love you dearly & you will be missed R.I.P big brother, love always Sis (Sue)xx
