Dear Jenny and Beth,
You may remember me, you may not. My parents, Roy and Betty Jones, were good friends of Peggy and Don. They even used to have card nights together many moons ago. My mother, Betty, was very good friends with Peg and I can still remember visiting her in hospital in Brisbane with mum. They were both shy women, incredibly kind, married to extrovert men.
I was sorry to see that Don had passed. I haven’t seen him for a long time, but he was very much part of my dad’s life for many years. They were both definitely at the larrikin end of the scale!
So, please accept my sympathy. It is always a difficult loss.
