Christopher John Lupton was born on 25th April, 1953 and passed away on 28th November, 2024.
Late of Booths Road, St Kilda and formerly of Bundaberg. Christopher passed away at Gin Gin Hospital on November 28th, 2024, aged 71 years. Beloved husband of Bronwyn. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Martine & Pete, Danielle & Paul and Kate & Lucas. Loving ‘Poppy’ of Hannah, Preston, Cohen, Montanna and great-‘Poppy’ of Aubree. Dearly loved son of Betty Lupton. Loved brother-in-law of Lyndall (dec’d), Chris, Steph and uncle of their respective families.
A loving friend of ‘Katie’, a wonderful dog.

Did not think this was coming. Chris, what a wonderful colleague you were. Thanks for everything you did when I started in Queensland and you were there when I finished as well. What strength we extension people were able to draw from your knowledge. And if the post supports of your breezeway in Booths Road had ears, what they would have learned from our many and varied discussions, together with a little red wine ( and even the occasional port out of a boot!) just made our work together so much easier to take. Chris was a decent, honest bloke who freely offered his time and knowledge to all. Chris helped me develop many job skills when working with him years ago and he was truly blessed by having such a lovely family unit around him. Sometimes you don’t realise how important a person like Chris has been to your life until you reflect at a time like this.

He supported and mentored Alan myself and the artificial reef committee to deal with government departments enabling us to obtain our permits to commence what became the Cochrane Artificial Reef. He gave us wise advice and unstinting support. A few reds at Booths road and tour of his latest projects were always on the cards. A true gent and cherished family man. Our love and condolences. Others on here have described Chris as a true gentleman, which he was, but he was so much more, fighting for the common good and extending his support in so many directions – kind and helping others. I worked with CHristopher for a very long time. He was passionate about his family and work. I will miss him. So so sad for the families.
